Job Description:

CAFÉ is seeking talented individuals who are  trusted by the community to organize in Chelan, Douglas, Grant, Okanogan and Yakima Counties  to keep improving the quality of life and advocacy efforts for our community.

CAFÉ views young people as community leaders, both now and in the future. Our goal is to invest and uplift our communities’ youth leadership from across the state to create sustainable and transformative change.

The Fellow will be part of a multigenerational and multiracial community efforts for the advancement of our vision. They will be reporting to and in collaboration with the Outreach Coordinator.

Current availability: Chelan, Tonasket, Royal City, and Yakima, WA.

Available Positions: Outreach support on an as-needed basis

Reports to: Outreach Coordinator and Program Director

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • CAFE Fellow is responsible for conducting outreach and having current knowledge of multicultural resources throughout the Chelan, Douglas, Grant and Okanogan Counties.

  • The CAFE Fellow provides one on one support for families of individuals with special needs

  • Exhibits qualities such as self-awareness, relationship-building, empowering others, authenticity and ambitiousness

  • Has current knowledge of multicultural resources and provides support for multicultural communities

  • Either participates in or is aware of groups and resources for multicultural families

  • Participates in trainings, meetings and collaboration

  • Conduct outreach throughout entire program service area

  • Work with community partners to ensure that target populations are being identified and needs are being met

  • Participate in ongoing program development by staying abreast of CAFE activities as well as the needs of the local communities served

  • Events Programed within CAFE and Partners 

  • Mentoring students within CAFE’s programs 

  • Shadowing for career development

  • Keeping and submitting reports as required
